Assalamu ‘Alaykum, I’m Qari Mubashir

This is a story about what happens when you recognise that there’s more in this world for you to become. That you don’t have to have certain things to make contributions to the world. It’s a story about a journey from doubt to conviction. The story of my journey so far, but it’s a story that can belong to anyone.

The book briefly takes you through how I began my journey to memorise the Qur’ān. What happened, what I did and all I had to go through. My hope is that it reflects what an ordinary journey I’ve had, and one that speaks to many of you. I hope it also demonstrates exactly what goes into memorisation. I don’t think people realise the amount of work people put into memorisation. The book is not only relevant to Ḥifẓ but life too.

What you will learn

The #1 biggest mistake that hurts your memorisation efforts, and how to avoid it.
Lessons learnt at every stage of Hifz including (a) the start (b) the memorising phase (c) revision (d) teachers (e) the difficult moments and (f) productivity.
What’s most important to your journey, whether you memorise in 6 months or more

What others are saying

“It is filled with a lot of good tips and observations that will surely benefit many!” “I am very happy that you have created such a very important book.” “..the book was amazing.. reading it felt as though you had written some of my own experiences for me.. especially regarding the many different teachers and their manners of teaching and so on.. it took me many years to finish just 13 ajzaa.. yet last year alone I completed the remainder 17” “Qari has inspired me on so many levels and moved me to act” “I must say, Masha’Allah, it is beautifully written. Inspiring all others like me who are desperate for motivation.” “I don’t know where I would be without Qari at the moment.”
