Quran & Islamic Studies Teacher
Minhaj Academy – Manchester

Looking for young English speaking professional Quran / Islamic Studies Teachers

Responsibilities:

– Teach Islamic Studies, Tajweed, and Qiraat to students of various age groups.
– Create engaging and effective lesson plans that align with the curriculum.
– Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
– Deliver instruction in an effective and engaging manner
– Assess student progress and provide feedback on their performance
– Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve instructional strategies
– Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and behavior
– Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and assessments

Experience, Qualifications, & Personal Profile:

A Passion for teaching and a commitment to promoting Islamic education is essential. A willingness to learn, and a keenness to giving time towards the Deen. Other things include:

– Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Islamic Studies) is desirable (For Qari/Qaria positions, formal training and fluency in Quranic recitation rules are essential)
– Valid teaching certification/license (Ijaazah) is desirable
– Experience working with students in an educational setting teaching Quran/Islamic Studies is essential
– Knowledge of instructional strategies and best practices is desirable
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills (Proficiency in the English language, including strong listening, speaking, and writing skills) is essential
– Ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of students is desirable
– Proficient in using technology for instruction and assessment is desirable

Candidate will have to go through DBS and strict safeguarding procedures and Training.

Part-time hours: 15 per week

Salary: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
